How easy is it to fly direct from the UK to Cyprus between November and March? We went through the official winter 2026/27 schedules for Larnaca and Paphos airports, route by route and airline by airline. The result is a complete picture of Cyprus winter flights from every UK airport, with the average number of flights per week in each month.
In short, there’s plenty of choice from London and Manchester all winter, but flights from the rest of the UK thin out sharply from December to February. As a result, if you’re planning a winter sun trip, it pays to know which airports keep flying before you pick your dates.
Key findings
- About 103 direct flights a week leave the UK for Cyprus in November, but only about 48 a week in January, 54% fewer.
- Paphos is hit hardest: UK flights drop from about 62 a week in November to about 19 a week in January, while Larnaca falls only from 41 to 29.
- London Heathrow to Larnaca (British Airways) is the busiest winter route, with about 18–20 flights a week.
- In January, only six UK airports have at least one flight a week to Cyprus: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Manchester and Birmingham.
- 17 UK airports have at least one direct flight to Cyprus at some point between November and March, and six airlines fly the routes.
Scheduled flights vs what you can book
These figures come from the airports’ planned weekly schedules for winter 2026/27, which the airport operator publishes as indicative and subject to change. In other words, they show flights that are scheduled, not seats on sale. Airlines can still add, move or cancel flights, so to see what you can actually book on your dates, check the airline’s website or use the search below.
Schedules checked against the Hermes Airports files on 10 October 2026. The files were unchanged since we built this page on 9 October 2026.
Cyprus winter flights by month
Overall, the number of direct flights from the UK to Cyprus falls by more than half between November and January. Then it recovers in February, the month of the school half-term break, and climbs back to November levels by March. For example, the table below shows average flights per week to each Cypriot airport.
| Flights per week to | Nov 2026 | Dec 2026 | Jan 2027 | Feb 2027 | Mar 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Larnaca (LCA) | 41 | 32 | 29 | 30 | 42 |
| Paphos (PFO) | 62 | 32 | 19 | 30 | 59 |
| Total | 103 | 64 | 48 | 60 | 101 |
Notably, Larnaca holds up much better than Paphos because of British Airways’ daily Heathrow flights, which run all winter. Paphos, by contrast, relies on leisure airlines such as Jet2, TUI and easyJet, so many of its routes pause after November and come back in February or March. So if you’re comparing the two airports, our guide to choosing between Larnaca and Paphos covers transfer times and where each one works best.

How to read the figures: 1.0 means about one flight a week. Values below 1 mean the route doesn’t run every week, and 0.2 is roughly a single flight in that month. You can also download the full data as a CSV file.
January: where you can still fly from
January is the quietest month for Cyprus winter flights. Even so, you can still fly direct from these airports at least once a week:
- London Heathrow: about 20 flights a week to Larnaca with British Airways, so roughly three a day.
- London Gatwick: about 11 a week, with easyJet and Wizz Air to Larnaca, and easyJet and Jet2 to Paphos.
- Manchester: about 6 a week, all to Paphos, with Jet2, easyJet and Ryanair.
- London Stansted: about 4 a week to Paphos with Ryanair and Jet2.
- London Luton: about 4 a week to Larnaca with Wizz Air.
- Birmingham: about one a week to Paphos with Jet2.
Beyond those six, Bristol and Edinburgh keep a couple of January easyJet flights to Paphos, and East Midlands, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle have about one Jet2 flight each that month. By contrast, Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast, Cardiff, Exeter and Bournemouth have no scheduled flights to Cyprus in December or January.
Every route, airline by airline
For a closer look, here’s every UK–Cyprus winter route by airline, split by Cypriot airport and listed alphabetically by UK airport. Also, remember that a route showing only November and March figures is a summer route that runs into the start and end of the winter season.

Which airlines fly from the UK to Cyprus in winter?
Six airlines operate direct Cyprus winter flights from the UK. Overall, British Airways carries the largest share across the season, mostly because of its Heathrow–Larnaca service. Meanwhile, Jet2 flies from the most UK airports, but much of its program pauses in mid-winter.
| Airline | UK airports | Nov | Dec | Jan | Feb | Mar | Share of winter flights |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| British Airways | 2 | 24.5 | 17.6 | 20.0 | 20.0 | 23.8 | 28% |
| easyJet | 9 | 22.4 | 18.3 | 9.7 | 15.2 | 21.4 | 23% |
| Jet2 | 12 | 31.6 | 11.7 | 7.2 | 11.0 | 24.4 | 23% |
| Ryanair | 2 | 9.6 | 7.0 | 5.0 | 8.0 | 8.0 | 10% |
| Wizz Air | 2 | 8.1 | 9.0 | 5.9 | 6.0 | 6.8 | 10% |
| TUI | 11 | 7.0 | – | – | – | 16.9 | 6% |
- British Airways flies Heathrow–Larnaca all winter and adds Heathrow and Gatwick flights to Paphos in November and March.
- easyJet keeps Gatwick to both airports all winter, plus Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh to Paphos.
- Jet2 serves Paphos from 12 UK airports at some point in the winter, and Larnaca from nine, but its January program is mostly Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester and Birmingham.
- Ryanair flies only to Paphos, from Stansted and Manchester, and it runs both routes all winter.
- Wizz Air flies to Larnaca from Luton and Gatwick all winter.
- TUI has flights in November and March only, including from regional airports such as Cardiff, Exeter and Bournemouth.
Tips for booking Cyprus winter flights
- Check the day of the week first. In fact, many regional routes run only once or twice a week in winter, so your travel dates may need to fit the schedule rather than the other way round.
- Consider a London airport. For instance, for a December or January trip from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or the South West, there are no direct flights from most local airports, so London or Manchester is usually the practical choice.
- Look at both Cypriot airports. Larnaca and Paphos airports are about 140 km (87 miles) apart by road, so flying into one and staying near the other can work if the flight suits you better. See our Larnaca and Paphos transfer guides.
- Book early for half-term and Christmas. Because there are fewer flights in mid-winter, the most convenient departures tend to go first at peak holiday times.
- Confirm before you book. Finally, airport schedules are indicative, so always check the flight on the airline’s own website.

What about the Greek islands in winter?
We also checked Ryanair’s published timetable for all of its UK routes to Greece. Between November 2026 and February 2027, it shows no flights from the UK to Corfu, Chania, Rhodes, Santorini, Kos, Zakynthos, Kefalonia or Preveza, apart from a final Stansted–Chania flight on November 1. Instead, those routes restart from late March. However, Ryanair keeps flying from Stansted to Athens (about 6–10 flights a week) and to Thessaloniki (about 4–5 a week) all winter. That said, other airlines may run some winter routes to Greece, so for Crete or the islands in mid-winter, flying via Athens is often the simplest option. See our guides to flights to Athens and flights to Crete.

How we built this table
Hermes Airports, which runs Larnaca and Paphos airports, publishes a weekly flight schedule for each winter season. Specifically, it lists the average number of arriving flights per week in each month by country, departure airport and airline. First, we took every flight from a UK airport in the winter 2026–2027 files, and then we added up the totals by month, airport and airline. The files count arriving flights, so we haven’t counted return flights separately. In addition, we cross-checked Ryanair’s Stansted and Manchester routes against Ryanair’s own online timetable, and the figures matched closely. The winter season runs from October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027.
