This disclaimer explains the limits of the information on IsleFare, a free travel guide to Cyprus and Greece for travelers from the UK and Europe. Please read it before you rely on our guides to plan or book a trip.

General information only

Our guides give general travel information. They are not personal advice, and they don’t replace advice from an airline, a travel agent, a doctor, a lawyer or a government office. We write with care and follow our editorial policy. Even so, we can’t promise that every detail is complete, accurate or current on the day you read it.

Prices, routes and schedules

Flight routes, timetables, ferry and bus services, opening hours and prices change often, and many island services run only in summer. For this reason, any price we mention in GBP or EUR is an example from the time of writing. The booking site shows the final price, so always check it, along with the fees and conditions, before you pay.

Entry requirements: what this disclaimer means for your documents

Passport, visa and entry rules are your responsibility. They also depend on your nationality, so they can differ for people on the same trip. For example, Greece is in the Schengen Area while Cyprus is not, so the rules for the two countries don’t always match.

New EU systems also affect many non-EU visitors, including UK travelers. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) records your entry and exit at the external borders of many European countries. The ETIAS travel authorization isn’t in operation yet, but once it starts, it will add a step before travel for visa-exempt visitors, and the EU says it will announce the date several months ahead. Because dates and details can change, always check the official government and EU websites, as well as your airline, before you travel.

Health, safety and insurance disclaimer

Conditions on the ground can change quickly, for example during heatwaves, wildfires, storms or strikes. Therefore, check your government’s foreign travel advice before and during your trip, and follow instructions from local authorities. Likewise, for health questions, ask a doctor or an official health service rather than rely on a travel website. We also suggest suitable travel insurance; a UK GHIC or EU EHIC card isn’t a replacement for it.

Third-party websites and bookings

Some links take you to other websites, including booking sites and partners that may pay us a commission, as our affiliate disclosure explains. We don’t control those websites, so we aren’t responsible for their content, prices, availability or service. When you book, your contract is with that company, and its terms apply.

Limits of liability under this disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage that results from relying on information on IsleFare. However, nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Our terms of use set out the full rules for using the site.
